Thomas Wright
Chief Executive OfficerThomas Wright is Chief Executive Officer at CoConstruct AI Ventures, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and portfolio development. He founded the firm with a belief that the construction industry's productivity gap could only be closed through purpose-built artificial intelligence. Prior to founding CoConstruct AI Ventures, Thomas held senior investment roles at leading enterprise software venture firms and served as an operator within large-scale construction technology platforms. His investment philosophy centers on backing technically differentiated founders who combine domain expertise with systems-level thinking. Thomas is a graduate of University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Derek Okafor
Managing PartnerDerek Okafor leads deal sourcing and portfolio operations at CoConstruct AI Ventures. He joined the firm at founding after a career spanning enterprise sales engineering, AI product management, and growth-stage venture investing. Derek brings to the firm a unique perspective on how AI systems get adopted within large, risk-averse construction enterprises. He is deeply focused on helping portfolio founders navigate complex enterprise procurement and build repeatable GTM motions in the construction vertical. Derek holds a degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University and an MBA from Kellogg.
Jack Donovan
Venture PartnerJack Donovan serves as Venture Partner, focusing on technical due diligence and engineering-led portfolio support. With a background as a practicing structural engineer and software architect, Jack evaluates the technical merit and defensibility of AI construction platforms. He has led engineering due diligence on construction robotics, computer vision inspection platforms, and autonomous scheduling systems. Jack advises portfolio founders on technical hiring, AI architecture decisions, and safety-critical system design. He is a licensed professional engineer and holds advanced degrees from MIT.
